Hi, everyone! Here I`m starting some kind of a building diary for the most interesting projects.
So, let`s start with my first serial model for my new endorser Vito Balanzoni.
First things first, I took some nice quartersawn sapele for the body, planed surfaces and glued it. So now we have the body blank, and I already sanded it to 45mm.
Now it`s time for the neck. Take another piece of sapele (also quartersawn),
cut off the spare,
plane the headstock and the surface for the fretboard,
cut some nice looking headstock contour
and insert the truss rod.
You only have to glue the ziricot fretboard now, and wait a few weeks for it to dry out well, make sure that the geometry is true and then continue the work.
